Gathers the correspondence of the noted scriptwriter with artists, composers, writers, scientists, publishers, broadcasters, directors, critics, politicians, students, family members, and friends
Reading this book reminds me of what we have lost in the computer age. This group of letters by Norman Corwin serves as a journey through his life and career. He turned 101 in 2010 He was teaching writing at USC until midway through the 90s when he had an accident that slowed down his body but not his mind. He was arguably the most talented writer of radio drama, and in this case, correspondence. I suppose some people still 'write' letters, but it is not the norm any more and we're losing out on a special view of each other and our lives.
