We need more theology focused books by Church of Christ authors, and there were some good articles in this book. It was sufficient to put together a quarter-long Bible class but lacked the depth that many similar books have. Some of the articles seemed more interested in justifying existing Church of Christ doctrine/practice than truly exploring major theological themes. Church of Christ scholars are capable of producing better overall works than this. It does have some value, but don't expect to have your own theology deepened by reading this book if you are accustomed to reading theologically rich books.
