First US Edition, 1986, first printing, a like-new, excepot for a short gift inscription on the first page, unread, unworn, hardly opened, othewise unmarked, oversized hardcover, with an unclipped ($60.00) dust jacket that considerable wear at the 1 3/4" closed tear at the bottom front outer corner, a 1/2" closed tear at the top front outer corner, rubbing to the top back outer corner, a 1 1/2" closed tear at the top spine end back fold, and small triangular piece out of the bottom spine, front fold, from Black Cat / Faber. By Eoin O'Brien. 402 pages with index. Measures about 10 3/4" X 10 1/4" X 1" and weighs about 4 3/4 pounds. Illustrated.

The subtitle says it all: more of a look at Ireland (& Saint-Lo) during Beckett's time than a pictorial look at his life.
