Amidst a sprawling village surrounded by the Himalayan ranges, Om was grooming up under the guidance of his guru, Rishi Rig Muni. Unaware of what lay ahead in future for him, Om marvelled at the sheer thought of being trained as a warrior and discovering the powers and gifts which he always thought were just a part of the village stories. However, his guru knew that a time will come when Om will have to hold the reigns of defending his land and for that, he needs to be prepared.
And thus starts Om's journey of becoming one of the biggest warriors for safeguarding his kingdom from the wrath of the most dangerous enemy anyone would have ever beheld.

Honestly, after a very long time, I read an action-based fiction that I thoroughly enjoyed. The book is a 350-page long adventurous ride that kept me totally engrossed till the end.
"The Himalayan Kingdoms" by Vishal Singh is packed with action, with the right amount of other elements like romance, friendship is thrown in at the right moments.

What I loved the most about the story is how the descriptions are kept sharp and to the point, without dragging and elaborating them unnecessarily.
The narration is quite gripping and the language is kept simple so that the attention is focused more on the plot.

The character developments take place very articulately and I really appreciate how the author has given every character an entity specific to them but have also kept the focus centred on the main character.

So, if you are looking for some action-packed adventure based on the folklore of the land, then I would highly recommend this book to you.

The Himalayan Kingdoms is folklore-inspired adventure novel by Vishal Singh.
Not only is it jam packed with adventure, but also contains abundance of romance and fantasy, it's basically the perfect concoction for anyone who love reading books with a mix of different elements to elevate the book from being one-dimensional.
Om embarks on an interesting journey, and while things in the beginning are covered up in short glimpses before we reach the main event, we understand how much Om has developed as a warrior during that short span of time under the guidance of Rishi.
There a lot of other characters, but unlike most books the author was able to give each character their own personal identity while making sure they all had a place in the story.
There are certain areas where the writing isn't my favourite because during intense or important scenes, certain acts are described vaguely when I wanted to know more about how the characters are feeling or what's actually happening instead of just a brief description and moving on to the next scene.
But, overall it's definitely an engaging read that would entertain you and I would recommend it.
