He needs revenge. He needs to show her that she can’t get away with what she did to him. Valerie Davis thought nothing of teasing Connor Lewis throughout their high school years. Whenever she spotted him in the halls, she reminded everyone that he had confessed that he liked her and hoped she would like him back. Fat chance. As the captain of the cheerleading squad, she had certain standards that he could never meet. The guys at school used every chance to beat him up so they could impress her and show Connor his place. Fifteen years later, Connor wants revenge. He needs her to know how wrong she was to treat him that way. He longs for her to suffer like he did. Connor is now a multi-billionaire. He has Valerie kidnapped and brought to the tower. There, he will get his revenge for the years he suffered at her hands. He takes her clothes away and visits her for her lessons, which leave her body quivering with need and her bottom red and burning. He wants her to learn how he felt, to at least get a slight idea what all those years were like for him. Valerie learns shame and regret through his none too gentle touches, but he also awakens something else in her. When it’s time for her to leave, she’s devastated, knowing that he will never truly love her the way she has come to love him. There is no room for forgiveness in his heart after what she did to him. How can she go back to her normal life after spending two weeks as his slave? Her body has been awakened to needs she never knew she had. She tries to deny it, but it’s impossible to hide the truth from herself. But there is one chance that she might see him. And that’s at the class reunion. There is great passion in great revenge, but is there a chance for forgiveness? Publisher’s Call Me Master includes spankings, rough sexual scenes, intense and humiliating punishments, and strong D/s themes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. Nevertheless, it has a happily-ever-after ending.
I absolutely love reading this author’s stories. This one was one of the first books I read of hers, and I put down a long time ago at the 25% mark, thinking the hero was overly cruel and assuming the book was the author having a foray into darkness for darknesses sake. But I was so wrong.
Like every story by the author who goes by Rachel Burns, there is a heart in the center of this story. And this one is so huge! Her work is full of conflict, misinterpretations, obsessive men, sweet heroines who endure terrible misfortune, old fashioned (okay kinda chauvinistic) ideals, people assuming the worst of each other, and flawed characters who are wonderful at heart and bring out first the worst and then the best in each other. And I love it. All of it. I’m here for it. Tragic, innocent heroines and take charge, possessive men are my jam and this author has more than fifty books with the goodness. I just hope she keeps them coming.
To the critics who wish she had a better editor, I’m sorry you can’t get past it. Because her stories are imaginative and just plain awesome. I’m glad I’m not a reader who gets stuck on the fine details.
Since I began realizing I enjoy everything she writes, I’ve been in heaven because she has a huge catalogue of work. I’ve read almost everything, and I saw I left this story unfinished. And this book wraps up so wonderfully, with one of her sweetest endings ever. I’m a terrible reviewer but this story was so good I had to take a minute and urge you all to check it out!
This is an interesting mix of dark and sweet. The story starts out dark and then swings into a more sweet conclusion. I liked the twist towards the end. Connor took Valerie in revenge for her treatment of him in high school but that soon twisted into something else. A lovely story with a fabulous ending.
OMG!!!! Connor got the ultimate revenge... against his high school bully, Valerie. I’m pretty sure Valerie did not intend the brutality, but karma came and got her...along with forever after happiness...15 years later.
