Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
We are going to pretend this isn't about me reading the comic(because I haven't read it), but it is my review for the movie- Amazing Spider-Man 2 because I need to spill my guts about it and the general status update doesn't HAVE ENOUGH ROOM for me to post everything I want. I loved this movie so much more than you could ever imagine. In my opinion it is arguably better than The Winter Soldier *le gasp*, which is something I never thought I would say either. I didn't think this movie was going to be that great, just that it would be better than the first one. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it and loved it so much! 1. DANE DEHAAN. YES, I LOVE HIM. I THOUGHT HE WAS SPECTACULAR. Then there was that whole part where he was transforming into Green Goblin and he took his shirt off and I was fist pumping and happy, then he got really ugly and I was upset. Nonetheless, he was perfect. And then there was that part where Spider-Man woke him up and he looked absolutely adorable and I wanted to hug him, Anna Wood, you are a lucky woman. 2. Gwen. Oh Gwen. I love you. I have never cried so much in my life about a superhero movie, and usually the love interests suck. Like Jane Foster, don't get me started on her and Thor. It's quite a lengthy rage. Anyway, I love Gwen. She is exactly what Peter needs and they are perfect together and everything was just perfect until it wasn't and then I cried and cried and cried. I am still recovering, basically. 3. Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker was one of the best casting decisions in the world. I think he is brilliant and wouldn't want anyone else to be Spider-Man but him. 4. They did such a good job on making Electro creepy, but also making you feel bad for him at the same time. Jamie's voice as Electro was so well done! It sounded inhuman and well, electrifying. The score also helped with the impression that Electro was like no villain Spider-Man had ever faced before. It sounded like weird chanting in the background, which was super menacing. I think that The Amazing Spider-Man movies are so much better than the originals with Toby McGuire. And I won't apologize for it.
A collection of early days of Spider-man. When he had a motorcycle, was the tiger that hit the jackpot, had a roommate that took a bad trip, and Aunt May was a "slinger". And when Peter went from suits to long vests with fringe and 1960's peace necklaces. #SpideySenseDoesntWarnOfFashionMistakes
It's 60s Spidey - Stan Lee with John Romita and a little bit of Gil Kane. Peter and Flash and Gwen and MJ and Harry and Aunt May and JJJ and Robbie and Rhino and Electro and Green Goblin. What more do you need?
The story of Peter Parker, his status in school, and how receiving new powers effected him and his status in school. The spider that changed everything for him, giving him new friends as well as new foes.
