Crystal Cove's small town charm is what most people love about it.
Brady Lowe sure loves it. He is about as small town as you get. Brady’s content running his dad's construction company, eating at the diner every Thursday, and taking home a local lady from his sister's bar when he has an itch to scratch. Brady scratches that itch just fine, until Glory Falcone blows into town.
Glory is mouthy, smart, and hotter than June in Crystal Cove and Brady knows she's the one he's been waiting for.
Glory gets as far as her jeep will take her; it just so happens to be cute, idyllic Crystal Cove. It also just so happens to have Brady Lowe as it's welcoming committee. Glory doesn't exactly believe in happily ever afters, not after the "after's" she's had. At least she didn't. Not until Brady Lowe's determined ways, crooked smile and home town charm make her want for more.
Born and raised in the Midwest, reading and writing have always been Dee's passion. Short stories became long stories that finally, became books. While playing grownup during the day, meaning working a job, Dee wrote her first book. When not reading or writing, which leaves less time than she's proud of, Dee loves spending her time with her four furbabies, her husband and lots of movies nights.
Chasing Glory is book three in the Crystal Cove Holidays series by Dee Ellis. I’ve had this series for awhile and am reading each book at the appropriate holiday. It’s time for the Fourth of July, so it is time to meet Brady and Glory. And to go back to the town I’ve grown to love so much, Crystal Cove.
Brady Lowe has lived in the small town of Crystal Cove all his life, along with his twin sister and parents. He runs his dad’s construction business and loves his life. He has seen his friends finding true love but doesn’t know if that is in his future or not. He’s never had the urge to settle down. He has a handful of local women he occasionally dates but it’s all just casual. But then she walked in to the diner. The girl who stole his breath away. Brady never really thought about whether he believed in love at first sight or not. But if it does exist, could that be what he is feeling?
“This, what this girl is making me feel, it doesn’t make sense. And still I want it.
Glory Falcone is ex-military and is drifting from town to town, where ever her car leads her, until it gives out just outside of a tiny town called Crystal Cove. When she walked in to that diner, she was immediately drawn to Brady and his sexy smile. Could it be that her car quit on her here for a reason? Maybe this is the place she is meant to stay?
“You were coming here to find me. You just didn’t know it yet.”
Brady falls hard and fast. He can see a future with Glory he didn’t even know he wanted. But now, he wants it all. He’ll do whatever he has to do to convince her to stay. To want a future in his little town, with him.
“Glory could be the girl I’ve waited for. And I could be the reason for her to stay in Crystal Cove. It could make sense. Now I need to convince us both.”
This was short, sweet, swoony, and sexy. All my favorite “S” words. Brady gave his heart to Glory. Now the question is, will she take it and cherish it, or will she break it.
The last book in this series is called Tricky Treats and is Brady’s twin sister, Aria’s story. I might not be able to wait all the way to Halloween to read it though.
This was just ok for me. While the hero was good once he met the heroine (alpha/sexy/sweet) there was just a bit too much reference to his behavior with the women in town (the 5 he dated from time to time). It started with him on his way to pick up a date and him thinking about how bad her BJ'S are....not stuff to make me fall for the hero.
The heroine, while likable enough at first, just struck me as more alpha than I personally prefer. She made some choices that knocked her down a few pegs for me.
-no cheating -no ow/om but hero is known around town as a player. He's looking for Ms Right and in the meantime sounds like he's going through the Ms Right-now's. He wasn't with others after he met the heroine though. -no violence -heroine pushed hero away and I felt for him. Fortunately, he didn't sleep with others although he said he thought about even hooking up with Beth (BJ girl from above) but didn't -steamy -excessive use of the words - Stud and Gorgeous -just ok epilogue that didn't give a very long look into their future
The next story is assume is about his twin, Aria. She too seems on the alpha side and per the hero, sounds like she got around as well
Crystal Cove is undoubtedly one of my favourite places to visit, there is always a good story waiting for me there. Once again Dee has not disappointed by providing us with all that we need. Brady is a sweet, sexy, kind, fun loving guy who has a good dose of alpha in his personality. He just wants to find love, be happy and enjoy his life. Brady also has a filthy mouth so be warned not to bother with your knickers, they will just melt. Glory is a strong, independent woman who has a free spirit and gives as good as she gets and is wondering around when she stops off at a small diner in Crystal Cove. From the first time that Brady sees Glory, sparks fly and the attraction between these two is undeniable. Brady works hard at wooing the oh so stubborn Glory but I won't spoil it all for you. What I will say is that there is drama, intrigue and some seriously sexy times. Keep some ice cream on hand and be prepared for some good times ahead. Received an ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I love a good holiday themed novella, and the Crystal Cove Holidays Series by Dee Ellis has fast become a #OneClick for me.
Chasing Glory is the story of Crystal Cove native Brady Lowe and Glory Falcone, the sexy stranger who turns his ordered, stable world on it's head. Just by showing up. And it is delicious.
As a reader of the series, I met Brady (and his sassy twin sister Aria) in book two, Stupid Cupid - but let me tell you... I was not prepared for the sweet as hell, filthy as fuck or alpha as shit things that come outta Brady's mouth!
Holy tightly clenched thighs Crystal Cove-rs, Brady had me riding the swoon swing in no time flat.
As for Glory, I loved her instantly. She's my favourite type of book heroine - smart, capable, sassy & strong.
Brady and Glory together are combustible. The definition of palpable Insta-lust and chemistry, it simply pulses of the page, and I felt it... everywhere!
Dee Ellis has a habit in Crystal Cove of reeling you in fast and hard, then when you least expect it - she set's you on your ass. I know this, but I was so caught up in Brady & Glory that when the twist came, I was not only surprised, but suddenly loaded with a whole different set of feels. Clever bloody author.
That said, don't dare fret my smutty-novella loving book babes, there's always a HEA in Crystal Cove... usually after the fireworks. (Insert cheeky wink here)
PS: I can't wait for Aria's book... it's about time that girl got her turkey stuffed. Who's with me?
*I was provided an ARC of this book, with no expectation on the part of the author that they would receive a positive review in exchange. My review reflects my genuine opinion of this book.*
Crystal Cove is a town I can undoubtedly see myself visiting and even taking a permanent residence in. Everyone we meet is gives off those arms wide open vibes and you instantly feel welcomed. When Glory unexpectedly finds herself in a diner it's not long before she's introduced to Brady. The electricity between these two is full force the instant a conversation is stuck and me swooning over Brady right along side Glory. Brady is so much more then what meets the eye. As we go further along we see this man go down paths and embrace feelings he's never expressed before. I was glued to my kindle especially when they give into those primal urges. Of course being in Crystal Cove we come across fellow residents and if you've read Dee Ellis's other books you'll be smiling so wide learning what's been going on with everyone. You can read this as a standalone but I highly recommend grabbing the entire series and open your heart to this town & all the people just as I have. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
5 Stars to Chasing Glory (Crystal Cove Holidays #3) by Dee Ellis
Brady Lowe and Glory Falcone.......
The quaint town of Crystal Cove gifts another couple with a happily ever after. Chasing Glory is a sweet, sexy, steamy story featuring an over-the-top possessive male character and his soulmate. This book is the third installment in this series and I adored each one! The men in Crystal Cove are so easy to fall in love with. You will be helpless to their charms.
Brady was an amazing hero! As a person, I thought he was loyal, loving, sexy, sinful and so over-the-top possessive when it came to Glory. However, Glory is a strong character and made Brady work for it. From the very first moment Brady locked eyes on Glory, he was hit with that proverbial arrow through the heart. Of course there was also lust at first sight. ;) Brady wanted Glory immediately but not only for physical gratification. He felt a strong pull. a connection that he was helpless to ignore. Brady is not a relationship type of man. Tho that attitude changes quickly once he meets Glory.
Glory was simply driving aimlessly; her car packed with her life. She was searching for something unforeseen. When her car decides to break down in Crystal Cove, Glory finds her heart wanting not only Brady, but the quaint, friendly town is easy to love as well. Their relationship develops quickly but not without some angst and an unexpected twist.
I'll say this again, Brady was so easy to fall in love with. In fact, Crystal Cove depicts love and romance, with passion and the sigh-worthy happily ever after. All three books in this series are short, intimate, sexy and sweet reads. Although they can each be read as a standalone, I suggest to grab all three: Snow Angel, Stupid Cupid & Chasing Glory. Not only will you fall in love with the sweet town, the characters will find a permanent place in you hearts.
This is the third book in the Crystal Cove Holidays series and it's got sparks flying everywhere!! It's a short story about a sexy, possessive, alpha male, Brady, in this quaint town that I love, and a fiesty, independent girl, Glory, that is just passing through when her car breaks down! The fireworks between the two are immediate and Brady isn't going to let her go without first showing her around town and getting to know her! I loved everything about these characters and about the whole book in general! The heat is hotttt and steamy, just like I love it, and I absolutely love how the author created their story! I can't wait to read more from this series of people in Cyrstal Cove!! 5 SPARKLING, EXPLOSIVE STARS FOR THIS AMAZING STORY!!!!
"I let her take whatever she wants because I want her to have it."
Aaah Brady, he's such a sweet man. He's not your typical alpha. He wants a commitment, that happily ever after, that picked fence and wife and kids, he's not afraid of relationship. He's the romantic type of guy. And Glory is totally the opposite of Brady. She's not searching for love, she doesn't believe in love. She's a girl with mystery vibe and I keep wondering who she really is. Well like everybody said, opposite always attract. This couple is unique and sweet couple.
As for the book. It's a sweet book, it hit me with sugary sweetness from the beginning. It's an insta-love story. Yup it's sweet, cheesy and unique. And if you love sweet romance, this one you must try.

This was such a great read. An instalove story with charming characters. Even though this is an instalove and short story, it didn't feel any way short or rushed while I was reading it. I really liked the storyline and the progression of the book. I loved Brady right away and loved reading his internal thoughts about falling in love. I loved Brady and Glory as a couple. And I just loved Brady's relationship with his sister.
I recommend the Crystal Cove series, especially if you are in a need of an entertaining, fast-paced story with great story telling. And romance! I can't forget about the romance. It's my favourite part.
Give this author a shot, you will not be disappointed. I love the male POV with the Crystal Cove series. They are sweet and sexy with a wonderful HEA. The characters are funny and easy to relate to. I really love the Burn Series and recommend anything by Dee Ellis.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love small towns! Crystal Cove is definitely one place you must visit! It’s there you'll meet Brady Lowe, the sweetest and manliest man that you can't help but melt for! Then Glory comes into town and she was just so right for Brady! This is one of those stories that just warms your heart!
Brady and Glory are just too much for mere words. I've loved each story up to now but I think this one is my favorite so far. We'll see if it holds true by the time I'm done. At one point my heart fell on the floor. Thankfully, Dee Ellis picked it up, dusted it off and put it back in my chest by the end. Wonderful story.
Chasing Glory is the third book in the Crystal Cove series. It was quick and sexy sweet read! I loved Brady and Glory! They were perfect for each other! Loved this!
