The author provides very candid and relatable reflections from personal experiences of loss and applies them, or rather applies each decade of the rosary to these common experiences, so as to see them in a new light, learn and grow closer to Christ through our Lady. As someone who has experienced miscarriage, I could relate and profit personally. As someone who works in pastoral ministry, I would recommend this as a theologically sound resource for Catholic (and perhaps interested non-Catholic Christians) women (and men) to heal and grow from their child loss experience through this life-affirming devotional.
This is an extremely beautiful book that is intended to be for Catholics that have lost an infant due to miscarriage or stillbirth. Each devotion (usually a page) begins with a Bible verse and is illustrated with lovely watercolors. There is a lined blank page opposite the devotion for your own thoughts or prayers. In the back of the book there is a list of resources. This book would make the perfect gift for a friend or family member that is grieving the loss of their baby, or for yourself.
Very beautiful little book. It is short and sweet but deeply touching. I needed something I could check in to each day after my miscarriage that wasn’t going to be overwhelming but would speak to my heart. This was it. It helped me immensely in wrestling with my faith during this time
