The Lizard peninsula is known for its beautiful scenery and tourist attractions, but all is not so idyllic for Revd Anna Maybury, vicar of the most southerly parish of mainland Britain. Much of Anna’s little flock are dealing with their own problems, and when the wife of a local architect is found dead in the churchyard, each of them has to come to terms with the fact that they may be living with a murderer. The year will take them to the very edge of their insecurities and relationships and beyond to the conclusion that we are never truly what we seem.
I really enjoyed this. The characters were really well drawn (I liked Anna, the main character, very much), and in many ways it was more realistic than the run of the mill crime novel, in that bodies were not turning up here, there and everywhere. A great read, and I will be looking out for the planned sequel.
This is a great read, i love a good murder mystery but this is different, the characters are developed in a way that draws you in. I found i couldn't put it down and when i had finished i found myself looking forward to the next book. This has the potential to be a really good book series, its like c j sampson and dawn French books but crossed. Definitely worth a read
