SS5H1 The student will explain the causes, major events, and consequences of the Civil War.
(D)Describe the roles of Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, Ulysses S. Grant, Jefferson Davis, and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.
A good picture book the gives the life of Abraham Lincoln.Can be used as a supplemental text in the 5th grade to gain further knowledge about Abraham Lincoln, his views and achievements.
This book can be utilized in the classroom to support and help identify major historical figures during the civil war (Lincoln). Allow students to think critically about "what" is a leader and why? Compare and contrast other historical figures in regards to their definition of leadership.
