Human By Nature is a collection of poems written by a young woman who desperately needed to free the thoughts from her mind. Through these pages, she delicately conveys the struggles of being human, striking the balance of living in the moment and revisiting memories when necessary. She looks to her past and present for inspiration, all while dreaming about her future. Mirroring the moon, Jade created the book in evolutionary stages. With poetry as her witness, she is constantly learning that it's in her nature to only be human.
I'm not usually a fan of poems. I either find them to be way too simplistic or the message they are meant to convey is completely lost on me. This book of peoms was so well written though. Jade Moon did an amazing job of ensuring that her poems could be understood and that people would be able to relate to and understand what others have gone through at the same time. I found the flow of the poems to be very natural to read and I loved the order that she put them in. Honestly, the only thing that keeps me from giving this book five stars is nothing to do with content (obviously) and completely to do with the fact that I prefer a hardback book so that the cover stays the same as when I bought it. I would still highly recommend this collection of poems to people regardless of that personal preference though.
