Little Bunny is sad because no one seems to remember that today is his birthday. When he spies a red balloon, he heads off in chase. It will take the help of several friends to help him follow it all the way to the surprise at the end.
Jung’s illustrations are amazing. The story, however is cute, but predictable – and only mildly interesting. The abrupt end is not the promised pay off.
Uncorrected Proof #PLA2020 The illustrations are whimsical and fun with a lot of hidden details that encourage multiple readings. The story of friendship pulls you on an adventure with a repetition nature that is good for building early literacy skills.
A coworker received this ARC during PLA. I enjoyed the story line of this book, but some of the illustrations were just a little too oddball for me. I could see some kids really liking that aspect while others would find them too weird
