I love this wonderfully, lyrically written book!
The illustrations are amazing and utterly creative.
In the middle of the night, siblings are searching throughout the house for a possible monster making the rumble sound. Even though they are afraid, they are brave as they listen for clues and continue looking room to room.
The house doesn’t look like a house thanks to the exceptional imagination of the illustrator.
Kids will be laughing out loud when they discover the true source of the rumbling sound.
This is a story children will want to read again and again.

Five year old James is awakened in the night to a rumbling sound. He heads out to investigate the sound. Along the way he is joined by his siblings and their variety of pets. The adventure has them exploring in the dark where their imagination make the shadows come alive . Through delightful prose and wonderful illustrations the kids finally find the source of the noise. It is a delightful book that will have your kids giggling at bedtime.

I enjoyed this book so much I purchased it for my granddaughter. The illustrations made you feel like you were on a journey with the main character to find this loud noise. It was suspenseful and funny. Would highly recommend this book.

I am in love with this book and rave about it to everyone I meet. It has beautiful illustrations to keep kids captivated and a poem that is an amazing vocabulary booster. The flow of the book is just so poetic and imagery just falls off the tongue. We definitely want more books from the author. It's a Hit!!

Wonderful adventure! A little boy at bedtime keeps hearing strange noises that frighten him. He goes on a night adventure to investigate the noises and picks up comrades along the way.

Loved it!
This book was so sweet and imaginative. It was also heartwarming and funny!

Such a Fun Book!
