Some interesting tales about moving to Canada in the 50's. These modern pioneers were indeed brave and faced some challenges. The writing is grating if you're looking for a bit more than a personal adventure. Found the quilting bee interesting (being a patchwork maker) and there were a couple of other revelations.
This book comes from the author's heart. That is why i have read it (or parts of it) several times. I am rating this book a four because it needs a mountain of editing. One sentence near the end just does not belong. Still it is a pretty decent book...
