सरदार पटेल के राजनीतिक विरोधियों द्वारा उनके बारे में समय-समय पर यह दुष्प्रचारित किया गया कि वे मुसलमान-विरोधी थे। किंतु वास्तविकता इसके विपरीत थी। उनपर यह आरोप लगाना न्यायसंगत नहीं होगा और इतिहास को झुठलाना होगा। सच्चाई यह थी कि हिंदुओं और मुसलमानों को एक साथ लाने के लिए सरदार पटेल ने हरसंभव प्रयास किए। इतिहास साक्षी है कि उन्होंने कई ऊँचे-ऊँचे पदों पर मुसलमानों की नियुक्ति की थी। वह देश की अंतर्बाह्य सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता देते थे और इस संबंध में किसी तरह का जोखिम लेना उचित नहीं समझते थे।

Must read for all who think that bharat is their motherland. Any admixture of other religious zealots into this pure hindu bhoomi has always lead to massacre of hindu men, women and their culture.
