If you like reading stories set in the WWII era, you will enjoy this whodunit. The author did her research and does a wonderful job of immersing you in daily life on the home front. I delighted in the descriptive details as much as trying to solve the mystery. Loved the cast of characters, especially Jane, the headstrong nurse with a mind of her own. As the story progresses you realize there is more going on in this sleepy New England community than first meets the eye. Looking forward to more adventures with Jane and getting to know Winslet and its residents.

I loved the setting of the book. It captured my eye as the setting was Boston and the main character was a nurse. Both are dear to my heart. I found the book realistic both to the historical setting and a 1940s nurse. I can't wait to see where they go next.

I had the privilege of meeting this author and she describes this book as a "cozy mystery." It really is. The characters are simple and the plot pretty easy to follow. She has done her historical research and it shows; and her medical knowledge comes through loud and clear. Well done.
