This book is a really quick read full of wisdom nuggets. I would call it a feel good book. Getting my hands on this around Christmas time, I ended up giving it to my sister as a gift. This is due to the fact I got so much pleasure out of it and knew she would experience the same. What makes it feel good? The author has a candid way of sharing her life and expressing her feelings about life in general. We take the roller coaster ride with her as she has the ups and downs of life's journey. The news of breast cancer typically creates gloom and doom for the recipient. However, she explores the possibilities of coming through this horrible disease a better person. Her Catholic faith draws her closer to the one who created her and brings about an awareness of the process. By accepting her current situation and learning from the many facets of such an experience, she gains wisdom, courage, and insight into the intricacies of faith and what it means in our everyday life. I needed to read this book. Sometimes books fall into my lap at just the right moment. This one did!
