I was blessed with a mother who instilled the love of reading in me at a young age. That progressed into a passion for the written word in all forms, which led to my writing. Every day I have new stories and new ideas roaming through my brain, the characters chomping at the bit for their turn to be front and center and have their story told. Today that love of storytelling translates into my desire to write and share my stories with others. I write in many genres, but I’m currently concentrating on romantic suspense and paranormal.
My day job is about as uncreative as it gets. I do medical transcription, spending numerous hours at the computer each day trying to decipher the mumbled, garbled and often unrecognizable words the physicians are dictating, in an effort to make a complete and comprehensive patient record. It’s almost as bad as trying to read their handwriting!
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I’ve lived in various places throughout my youth, from California to Hawaii and back to Florida (Key West), before finally settling in Texas. I make my home outside Dallas, Texas with my spoiled black lab (Missy).
I am a member of Romance Writers of American and the Dallas Area Romance Authors (DARA), where I’m an active member; you can find me at the local meetings each month.

There's so much to like about this book. Gabi is a strong woman, doing whatever she can to protect her best friend, even if it means putting her own like in danger. Dylan respects her strength, even though he wants nothing more to protect her. The chemistry between them is great.
The action in the book is great as well. It's well-written and kept me on kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what happened next.
This can be read as a standalone. If you enjoy romantic suspense, you won't want to miss this one.

AN INTENSE THRILLER
An intense thriller, full of action and suspense. Author created an amazing group of characters many of them from a tight knit family. Gabi and her friend are being threatened; both family and friends surround them to make sure they are protected.

Overall Amanda rating: A+
I am really enjoying these books. This author has done a really good job keeping some of my favorite past characters alive and fresh, all while introducing new ones. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books by this author.
Gabe- one of my favorite female characters to date. Quite the spitfire, very overprotected by her father and brothers and an entire slew of cousins. She is feisty and cares hard for her family and friends.
Dylan- strong, almost brooding alpha male. I have been interested in his story since the previous books.
Watching this story unfold was perfection. Great writing. Great characters.

Protecting Her Friend!
Guarding Gabi: WOW! Amazing writing. I loved that Kathy Ivan brought the rest of the Boudreaus family into the picture. It like a big circle with the two different series. It was a great story. It was very entertaining and suspenseful. Ryan was the perfect match for Gabi.

The ending came up really fast I kinda expected a bit more drama or suspense but it was still good. Great storyline and I love having the other characters from the previous book series included in this book

Riveting!
The Cajun Connection series continues to be thrilling. The novel is one tense exciting read. Saving Gabi is a particular favorite since the bad guy, female abuser, gets his just rewards.

Saving Gabi is the fourth installment of Kathy Ivan’s Cajun Connection series. In this romantic suspense, she chronicles the romantic journey of Gabi Boudreau and Dylan Roberts. Gabi is the only daughter of Gator Boudreau. She has four alpha protective brothers. Gabi is loyal to her best friend, Salem Hudson, who found herself in an abusive relationship with Tarik Amir. He is sadistic, wealthy, and spoiled. His cruelty left her with emotional and physical scars. A pregnant Salem escapes and seeks help from Gabi. I appreciate how she creates intrigue and suspense using the antagonist, Tarik Amir, to increase the rising action of her plot. Nicely done, Ms. Ivan.

Gabi is being targeted for helping her friend. The teams are trying to track the man coming after her. Dylan even has contacted Wolf for help. Will they find him before he finds Gabi?

Loved Gabi and Dylan's story. There was a lot of action, Gabi's strong spirt and independence. When Dylan was asked to come to New Orleans to help with a case, he didn't hesitate. They have a great or scary adventure, but end up in a HEA. Only steam was in the epilogue and you'll understand why. But that made the story all the more better for me. I loved the story line w/out all the sex every other chapter. There were several errors, but didn't take away from the story.

really enjoyed this book. for me I needed to read it from book one first to understand the characters. Love meeting the texas connections and can not wait for their stories. Gabi and Dylan are well matched for a relationship. as someone who got engaged 3 days after meeting my hubby to be.. I do believe in knowing who your forever is, that there is something deep that seems to say 'mine'. so this story line was believable and enjoyable.

This book was amazing a feisty heroine a troubled hero,a traumatized best friend who oops is pregnant and running for her life. A crazy rich man who is truly evil along with his crazy sister and you have a wild ride to. Lots of Drama,heat and two sweet happy endings.

Dylan and Gabi
Another great story by Kathy Ivan. Gabi's friend came looking for help. Gabi hid her then kept moving around. Her brothers asked her what was wrong. She had it she didn't need brothers to take care of her. But things were getting worse. He was't giving up.

Very Entertaining!
This book has wonderful alpha males, enjoyable female characters, and family connections. There is suspense and a romance that grows quickly. Nice setting in New Orleans and Texas. Enjoyable!

Good read
Dylan was doing a favor for a friend. Then he met Gabi and thoughts of his home in Costa Rica went right out of his head. Gabi was hiding her best friend Salem. Whose ex Tarih wanted the baby she carried for himself. Can Dylan protect both of them?

Excellent Reading
I loved this. Once I started it I really didn't want to put it down.I kept thinking I had read it before, but no, this was different. It's clean so any age for reading. I'm rather anxious to get some of the author's other works.
