A million dreams and not enough moments to make them come true, but I go on, for I never want to feel that I did not use all that I had, to do all that I could.
Words have always been close to my heart, and poetry my greatest love. It was destiny perhaps, that brought me into the world of social media in mid-2014, where Manic Sylph was born, a name that I chose to describe what I am in two simple words. I began my journey with an inspirational blog and in time meandered into poetry, where I feel my soul has found its home.
Contact me on any of my accounts and I would be happy to answer any questions that pop into your mind. I hope you will enjoy your visit into my world and will return for more.

I am not an avid reader of love poetry. But this is definitely worth the effort. The poet has a certain musical sensibility that makes the words pulse with symphonic grace and majesty. It is poetry that makes you feel something. Some happiness follows some sadness, melancholy and fulsomeness spiral about each other and rise to a crescendo of sunshine. Some poetry has to be read aloud to be truly appreciated, and this book is entirely of that kind.

Most beautiful book
This is by far my favorite book. The poetry tells a beautiful story and has a nice flow. Mona is truly a very talented poet. An amazing book.

One of my favorite parts about reading poetry, is that the rhythmic pattern it displays may often become recitable. A poet I admire most, Emily Dickinson, often wrote in compressed verse with slant rhymes that made it easy for readers to find themselves repeating her words back to them. Within this notion is where I feel Mona Soorma, author of Love Symphony: A Hundred Refrains of Love did her strongest work as well.
Soorma’s collection covers the topic of through short-form poetry in the various ways we experience it. Whether it be the ups (as seen in section one, Light), downs (as seen in section two, The Night), and everything in between (as seen in section three, The Twilight), Mona Soorma uses a rhythm within her words that makes you feel as though you could be reading a modern Shakespearean dialogue.
Despite being a fan of the work created during the Shakespearean era or not, we all are able to recite at least a few of his noteworthy lines. I believe that Soorma can encapsulate that same ability through the works in this collection, making it easy for us to want to go back to over again.
The beauty of poetic devices are the opportunities it gives writers to play with imagery as they may be formed into words, and I must say that creating imagery through this collection is another one of Soorma’s strong points in Love Symphony. Through her metaphoric sways, I found myself both reminiscing of lovers’ past as well as daydreaming new desires for love through her words.
Though to some extent, all writers write what they know and experience, I also appreciated the general themes behind Mona’s work that gives the chance for readers to take what they want from her work without feeling as if they’re reading an autobiographical piece.
If I could say, I would have loved to have seen some of the pieces in this collection strung together, as some of them felt as though they would have done well as one combined piece. I respect short-form poetry, I just think it would have given her audience more to read through in a more cohesive way as opposed to random thoughts. However, it did not stop me from being able to enjoy my read.
It is clear that Mona Soorma is a visual thinker, and that her ability to accept love in all of its forms is something she articulates well. You could pick up this book at any page and be able to pick up on her streams of consciousness in a way that displays poetry for the rhythmic devices it allows us to articulate.
I would definitely recommend her to other poets, and she has peaked my interest to checking out her other work!

Love symphony ‘A hundred refrains of love’ is a journey of a woman whose thoughts, fantasies and realities created a home of love in the universe of her sky. As she takes a reader into her three realms where the light, a night and twilight convey her journey, our sense of connectivity becomes prominent.
I can not do the justice with the experience I anticipated in. It was a war between an ecstasy and deep rooted anguish. As the poet takes us to her journey, I kept flying with the power of her words and expressions. The elegance of her poetic manner kept sweeping me away. I felt, I could dance with each word and expression. I felt I was there, with her story. Perhaps, it was my story as well, where love at one end is heavenly and on the other hand, it is betrayal and agony.
I have always been a huge lover of her words and poetry. Sometimes I am speechless what my eyes witness or read! Her eloquent way of expression and profoundness create wonderland inside of me.
I have read few books of her and each and every book has heart of its own, soulful and breathtaking. I recommend this book for those who know what love is! What passion is and what art is!
