Actually 3.5 stars

The last single McLaughlin sister, Ivy decides to do something crazy, and volunteers to spend three months with former ranch owner Mason Martin on his private island to find out if they fit as a couple. Instead of a relaxing three months on an island paradise, his yacht goes down in a storm, leaving them stranded.

This is a different take on a stranded-on-a-deserted-island romance, since they were very prepared to be on the island (just not without a way to contact the outside world). The characters are interesting, and though Mason is an idiot sometimes (seems to be a theme with the series), they do make a good couple in the end.

Turmoil at its Best

During times of extreme turmoil peoples best and worst comes out. During the hurricane on the island Mason's best came out in protector mode, but afterward Ivy's came out organizationally. Ivy was able to start pulling things together while Mason dealt with shock. If you have ever lived through a tornado which was closer to what happened on the island, then you can understand Mason. All in all an excellent book defined worth the read.

Island romance and intrigue

Fun and entertaining sister romance series. Love the fun and romance of finding their men in extraordinary circumstances.

Thoroughly enjoyed island descriptions and now would love to visit again and find my own billionaire, Seal or quarterback - lol.

Loved this series

I don't think Elana Johnson could write a book I didn't love. Her characters are always perfect, the editing is good, and the storylines are always great. I'm sure I'll read every book she writes. This book was my favorite.

I love the stories from Getaway Bay! The characters ooze with wanting love to find them and they help each other along. They say when you experience something out of the norm is when you find out if you are truly compatible~

Love the shy Texas cowboy that hides under his cowboy hat . Mason ,
Places an ad to meet ladies that might be interested in living on his private island 🌴 for three months and see if there is a love connection.
Ivy Works at a boutique and over hears two ladies shopping for a slinky bikini 👙 to whoo the Texas cowboy 🤠.
Curiosity got the best of her and she answers the ad .
The two start chatting and the Cowboy ask her to join him on his island .
Her sisters have all been stranded on islands 🌴 so she needs a backpack full of supplies .
Better to be safe than sorry .
The two leave out to start this three month adventure on his yacht 🛥 and at first it’s rocky between the two but after a Cat 4 hurricane 🌊 things start to change .
Can these two make a love connection or decide it’s just an attraction because they are trying to survive till help arrives .
Do not wait to tell anymore because you need to stop what you are doing and go read it for yourselves .
Drama , secrets , suspense, and sweet romance . ❤️

This is the last book in a series of stranded books by Elana Johnson where each sister is stranded in some way and fall in love with the man they are stranded with. The books all have similarities but also are all different. This time it was Mason and Ivy. Mason is a wealthy cowboy bachelor trying to find his place in the world. A bit lonely and wanting to find love. Ivy recently just broke up and is willing to try something crazy when she hears that a billionaire is looking for a love match. By some computer fluke Mason only gets Ivy’s message and they head off to Mason’s Island to get to know each other. Their is a storm that takes out part of their shelter and his Yacht. They have to figure out how to get along and survive until help arrives. And more important they have to figure out if each other is who they have been searching for. This is a clean, sweet, romance.

This was largely a story of opposites attract. Social and fun-loving Ivy is the last single sister in the McLaughlin family, so she’s feeling a bit lonely now. Mason’s no longer a rancher and he doesn’t know what that means for his life. He likes the quiet it’s afforded him, but he’d like to find a companion to share the solitude with. I thought these two were adorable together even if they weren’t always getting along. I also loved seeing the work Ivy and Mason put in to make a relationship work after their emotionally charged encounter. It was also a bonus seeing all of Ivy’s sisters again.

Will Ivy mame it a full set?

Despite all her sisters being hit by disasters and ending up stranded on desert islands, Ivy decides fate cannot that cruel again and willingly heads to Mason's Island with him for 3 months....what can possibly go wrong?! Fate proves that no matter how many precautions you take, she will always call your bluff! Can Ivy and Mason manage three months alone on an island? Will they fall in love or will they end up hating each other? Will Mason ever find somewhere he can call home? Or is he looking in all the wrong places? This is another sweet, easy read, perfect for an evening escape, especially as it is available on Kindle Unlimited.

Ivy has just been dumped by her boyfriend and is feeling really down, shes the last one of her sisters to not be settled down. Mason has sold his ranch as he's also feeling unsettled.
They end up sailing off to his island for three months, but things don't go to plan.
Ivy appears to be high maintenance but buckles down when things get tough, she's a well rounded character. Mason is very quiet but Ivy isn't! I like the way he had to keep walking off to get a bit of quiet.

A cute fun short romance story.  This well written entertaining stoyline had me engaged throughout. The interesting characters had good chemistry struggling with both having bad relationships jading them but determined to not be alone. The drama, struggles, and character interaction made for a great story as they truly are left to get to k ow one another accepting without change. I voluntarily reviewed this must read ARC with a great ending and enjoyable characters from previous stories in this standalone series.

Another Getaway Bay Romance! Mason thinks selling his Texas ranch and moving to Getaway Bay will make him happy. Ivy is the only sister without a special someone and feels like her life is stalled. When Mason advertises for someone to spend three months with him on his private island with the hopes of finding true love Ivy replies. The island is more rustic than Ivy expects and neither of them expects a hurricane! Don’t miss this sweet short read by Elana Johnson!

What a wedding

Mason is patient and loving. He’s not sure what he wants, but figures some things out. And he surely wants Ivy. Ivy is a bit adventurous and sociable. She heads out to a small deserted island with a man she’s never met. She loves clothes and girly things. But also independent and she can fend for herself. I love that they are both accepting and don’t try to change each other. They love each other for who they are.
But! What a wedding. Wow!

Ivy loves to have fun, but her latest break up has her rethinking everything. Mason is looking for a companion and direction in life. Ivy can definitely fill the silence. A clean & cute fun read. Living on an island for 3 months with a stranger--what can go wrong? No water, plumbing, but there's always the comfy yacht to retreat to when things get rough. Right? Read to find out all that can go wrong!! Will rough times bring 2 strangers together or split them up? You'll have to read the book to find out! I highly recommend this quick read.

Mason and Ivy are simply following the pattern set by her sisters. A primitive island getaway, what could possibly go wrong? Elena Johnson is a master at creating usual situations that some how seem normal. I have enjoyed this series and this book just adds to that enjoyment.
