This book required some time to read because of the detailed description of the Minorcan families who arrived in St Augustine in 1768 as indentured servants. My interest was due to the fact that my fourth great grandmother was one of those who sailed across the Atlantic from Minorca as a child and I am fascinated by the story. It only rated a 3 star because of the over -concentration on two particular Minorcans when there is so much information we know about the entire colony. As much as I enjoyed the meticulous details I did not enjoy the obvious favoritism to some and avoidance of other ancestors. The title reflected that it was about the Minorcans but it was only about some of them. Ms Quinn seemed to need to prove their value as she dealt mostly with the famous ones.
