A pretty good intro to the game of Backgammon, I suppose. I never played it myself, and this book was written in the late 1960s. It is rather interesting, but in the way it presents the subject, it requires more time on each move than I was willing to offer in the time I had.
The author covers the history of the game, all of the rules to Backgammon and an introductory game. All through the book images are provided, so you are not left wondering what a "point" is, or what the board looks like.
All in all, three stars out of five. It was not the greatest book ever, but it was quite interesting to learn some new things.
