In the fourth book of the series, we see through Wednesday's perspective as the family grieves the loss of their beloved Hurley. But the story takes a surprising and uplifting turn as a new friend soon arrives, and Wednesday realizes her mom and dad have invited a new dog into their home to help their hearts heal.
I love this series of books because they are simple, charming and beautifully written. The story about live after loss, from Wednesday's perspective, reminds me that we all suffer in different ways; we all grieve differently too. As. We move away from loss and into a life with a heavy heart full of wonderful unforgettable memories, it is prudent to take action in a direction that makes us pick up the pieces. No one can be replaced but that doesn't mean we can't find new sources of love that honor those who can love us only in spirit. Excellent stocking stuffer!
