A Wife's Guide to Pro Basketball

Rate this book
By the wife of Jerry West of the Los Angeles Lakers. In spite of the subordinating title, this is a clear, thorough treatment of the game -- what takes place and where with careful attention to the intricacies of offense and defense. There are amusing and revealing chapters on ""Court Justice,"" coaches and officials, sportscasters, etc. and some frivolities concerning fans and fashions. Brief appendices with box score-and-statistics lore, and a glossary are included.

Through unforeseen circumstances, in 1986, Jane and her six-year old daughter Katie, flew from England to California. As a single mother, she had to alternative but to give up her dream.

The struggles and fears that she faced over the years that followed turned out, better than she could have dreamed. Now living with her devoted husband Jay, and their two daughters, Katie and Julia, she is doing what comes naturally in her life-being a Mummy...and writing!

I recently found a list of books I read in 1972-78, and I almost didn't even look to see if this was listed, and by jove, here it is, although no one has admitted to reading it. Well I did, in 1973, when we had Laker season tickets. I can't say that I remember it, but I'm sure it was just peachy.
