From the Moment We Met (Book 1) is an incredible story. M.L. Broome has taken the true love trope and demystified it, removing all the fluffy fairy tale and leaving us with the rawness of reality that true love might exist, but human nature, miscommunications and those "best-laid plans" get in the way and obfuscate everything. Not only is the human psychology reflected admirably, but also emotion and our social hangups about love and sex. The author beautifully illustrates how, although sex is a topic we engage with more than in eras past, it is still a tricky subject-- and she has mastered it. The steamy scenes are written to perfection and make the reader yearn for this pair to get together, and yet life, their previously laid plans and eternal inability to put their feelings into words and communicate their true sentiments make this relationship appear impossible.

​The remainder of the series continues the lesson in relationships and how our actions and second-guessing often cause the collapse of a really good thing. M.L. Broome offers a detailed exposé on why some relationships fail and why others work, even when we're talking about matches "made in Heaven". Because even those perfect fits can fail when mess-ups, bad choices and a general lack of understanding about what's really important get us to lose sight of what we love.

The first two books in the series offer a whirlwind of emotions: love, heartbreak, frustration, incredulity... Beautifully Broken Moments, the third book, takes us another step further. There is deep sadness - I'll admit I cried copiously. The characters humble themselves, making heartfelt and meaningful apologies. This part really made me think of my own marriage and the work that "happily ever after" requires. Which is why the ending is so satisfying, I glow just remembering it. Broome really offers a full banquet of emotions.

​A Series of Moments is an artful examination of everything involved in a good relationship and doesn't hesitate to go into the difficult subjects involved.

A Series of Moments is a captivating and enchanting love story about two people who meet each other at a chance encounter, and they have to fight against all odds to be together. Throughout the story, you are caught up in a whirlwind romance in which the characters’ love for each other will be put to the ultimate test, and you will be taken on a ride to find out if love can conquer all. The main characters, Jacob and Lilly, are beautifully developed, and the depth of their personalities is illustrated throughout the series in such a way that you feel like you know them personally. The love, devotion, and dedication of these characters’ love for each other pulls you deep into the story, and you’ll find that you don’t want to come up for air as you get enthralled into the love that’s swirling around in this series from start to finish. Throughout the story, your heart will be pulled in so many wonderful directions, the suspense of their complicated romance yanks on your emotions, and your heart will feel like it’s in its own tug-a-war as you root for Jacob and Lilly to be together. This book is a sexy and breathtaking read that will capture your heart and emotions until the very end.

Love to hate

I really liked these books because of the emotions that they were able to pull out of me: laughter, sorrow, and anger. You will absolutely love Lilly, hate Victoria, and wish for a love like Jacob (even if you want to throttle him several times). I have it 4 stars because I hated the constant stupidity of the main characters. I got angrier than I like when I read. But know that you will enjoy these books!

indescribable!

M.L. Broome’s “A Series of Moments” is indescribably incredible!! Whenever I read romance books I rarely ask myself if what’s happening in the book really possible IRL. Whether it is or isn’t I simply enjoy the storyline. Jacob and Lilly’s love story was beautiful and I absolutely adored all of it. Don’t hesitate to grab this unbelievable and amazing story!!!
