From USA Today bestselling author Valia Lind—She goes on a hunt for answers, only to discover what she never realized she wanted until now.

Niccola knows two things: her mother has disappeared and she needs to find her long lost father.

By some providence, Niccola ends up in Colorado, with nothing but a backpack. When she arrives at the small town of Havenwood Falls in the Rocky Mountains, she quickly realizes that her family’s history is much more complicated than she ever knew. She’s no stranger to keeping secrets, but even she’s not prepared for what she finds.

While Niccola tries to unravel her past, she meets a gorgeous deputy in training who could be her future. She’s spent her whole life protecting her secret, because being a half witch/half shifter is not something that goes over well with her coven. Yet, Warren sees past the labels and straight into her heart. She doesn’t believe in destiny, but maybe she needs to rethink that.

Together, they must do whatever it takes to find the truth and save her mother. Time is running out, and Niccola must find it in herself to trust the town and its people, or lose it all forever.

Welcome to Havenwood Falls, a small town in the majestic mountains of Colorado. A town where legacies began centuries ago, bloodlines run deep, and dark secrets abound. A town where nobody is what you think, where truths pose as lies, and where myths blend with reality. A place where everyone has a story. Including the high schoolers. This is only but one…

This is a stand-alone Young Adult paranormal romance in the Havenwood Falls High series of fantasy stories featuring a variety of supernatural creatures. The series is a collaborative effort by multiple authors. Each author’s story is a stand-alone, so you can read them in any order.

I received this book to give an honest review. Man oh, man. I have to say this one had me on the edge of my seat. I needed to know what was going on with Niccola. The fact that she is seventeen and is willing to just go and find her mom speaks volumes as a character.

When she enters the town of Havenwood Falls she ends up discovering more than she expects and on the way finds her soulmate. Niccola is determined to find the answers to where her mother is but as she slowly uncovers things more and more it seems that she will have more questions than answers coming to her. Why did her mother leave and why is there no trace? To save everyone, Niccola with the help of Warren I do assume will be racing against time to get not only the answers she seeks but to defeat what threatens her family. Niccola is a strong character and it shows. She is cautious about things but is not willing to back down. A female character needs that. I do believe we will have a second book and that would be great! Can't wait for Niccola's powers to develop even more.

Predestined is the story of Niccola, or Nic, a young half witch/half shifter who finds herself alone in the world when her mother, the only family member she knows, disappears. Due to her status as a half breed, her own coven isn't very supportive of her. This leads her on a path to find her long lost father and takes her to Colorado and the town of Havenwood Falls. Upon arrival, she meets Warren, a deputy in training who seems willing to help in every way possible to help her finds her father. The entire time, Nic is questioning how much to share with Warren about her supernatural status and she questions how close she should get to him considering their (minor) are difference. Over time and through a series of unexpected events that tests her limits, she learns to trust him. Nic is definitely the type of girl who is not afraid to take on a challenge, especially when it comes to family. She is strongly independent while at the same time not afraid to accept a little help when needed. The relationship between her and Warren was a nice, slow burn, which made it more genuine and believable. For me, the only thing that was missing was that I felt like Nic needed to feel and display her emotions a bit more. She was getting a lot thrown at her from her mother disappearing to uncovering her family's past secrets to falling for a cute deputy while discovering a town for supernaturals she didn't know existed. At times, it seemed like she sailed through some pretty tough situations without understanding the impacts it would have on her and those closest to her. This by no means takes away from the story being another good installment in this Havenwood Falls High series.

I received a copy of this book from Ang'dora Productions, LLC.

Predestined
Havenwood Falls High keeps getting better!!!

Predestined is a Novella by Valia Lind. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about several authors writing with a cohesive vision of a complex and diverse setting like this series, but I'm blown away with each installment. Each novella is stand alone and builds one every other story and characters. With each novella, I can't wait to read more and find out more of the hidden secrets that are so a part of this world. This Novella is an addition to the Havenwood High Series and features a new character, Niccola, a half witch, half shifter teen searching for her mom who has up and disappeared. All she has is a magic infused note telling her to find her absentee father. A quick spell later and she's off to our favourite little town to look for clues in hopes of finding either her mom or her father. What she finds is a super sexy deputy that she can't seem to resist. I loved this installment and can't wait to read more about these new characters!!!

Action, from page one

I was truly captivated by this book from the very beginning. It's always fun to find the reasons why people are drawn to Havenwood Falls and this book is no exception. From the beginning this book pulls you in and takes you on a journey of discovery and leaves you wanting more of her story.

Every page it is like we are on a mysterious quest to learn about Nic's family and the story takes twists and turns and you never know which way to turn. You feel your emotions gripping tight in your chest as you sit back and watch Nic and Warren and what you know is destined to be. Will they figure it out themselves and will Niccola learn about where she comes from.

Until Next Time... Tabi

P.S.

My one issue was we never really are told what shifter Nic is, we are just left guessing and assuming until the last few chapters.

I love these stories and this little supernatural town.
Niccola comes home to find her mother missing and a note telling her to find a person she has never met, her father. With nothing but her backpack and her magic, Nic gets on a plane and follows her instincts to a little town in the Colorado mountains. She has never been to Havenwood Falls but the instant is gets there…she feels at home.
With the help of deputy in training Warren, she looks for clues that will not only help her find her mother, but explain the secrets that have been following her around her whole life and meet the father she has never known.
This story was very entertaining and fast read. Can’t wait for the next authors set of characters.

Niccola's whole world has been turned upside down. She is supposed to go find her father, with just a note from her mom and no real clue where to start. She finds her way to Havenwood Falls and runs into a police officer, Warren. He decides to help her the best he can to find her mom. Along the way she makes a few new friends and ends up finding more than expected. I really enjoyed this story. Nic was so much stronger than she knows and yet still has a soft vulnerable side. I really hope to see more of these two in the future and find out more about her parents!

This entertaining story tells the tale of Niccola, a seventeen year old half witch/half shifter who ends up in Havenwood Falls as she tries to uncover the truth of her past and find her missing mother.
Predestined is a great addition to the Havenwood Falls High world; it has romance, mystery, twists, danger and action. I loved seeing Nic gradually learning to trust and the slow burn romance develop between Warren and her. It’s an enjoyable story and I will look forward to seeing how Niccola's powers continue to to develop in the future.

I loved Niccola. She is only seventeen but handles her situation better than some adults would. She still has the teenager angst when it comes to love and guys. It makes her very relatable.
It is cool when other characters in Havenwood Falls make an appearance in a new story. We get a glimpse into their lives a little more.
Welcome to Havenwood Falls, Nic. Can't wait to see more of you in future novellas.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was well told and held my attention. The main characters were most likable and I was hoping they would end up together. There are unanswered questions that lead me to believe there may be a future book about this couple or Nic's parents.

I really enjoyed getting to know Nic and Warren! While there wasn't a ton of suspense, there was the mystery behind Nic's family. Most questions were answered but I really hope for more to come.

I really liked the story about Niccola och Warren. The mystery about Niccolas family and her heritage is one I hope is going to explained in a later book. Easy, fun read with a promise of more.
