This was more of an inspiration book. It gave a lot of ideas and considerations for what you can and should do with your yard and how to create a plan for it. There was a lot of fluff in it too that wasn't needed. All the instructional stuff was shoved into the very last chapter and I really wanted more info in that area. Still, it is a great resource and a must if you want to redesign your yard.

This book might be useful if you are starting from scratch, not when you are working with already installed flower beds and retaining walls.
