Nothing in Hollywood stays a secret for long, and there's plenty of film that could destroy everything she's worked for.
Nora Chase is a good girl. Her carefully cultivated public persona is under lock and key – the price to keep it that way has been steep. Minding her image at every turn is a small price to pay to continue her reign as the sweetheart of the small screen. Unfortunately for Nora, her emotions pay no attention to the moratorium she's put on relationships where Maxwell, an acquaintance through mutual friends, is involved.
Maxwell Caine is an entertainment attorney at the top of his game at one of the biggest firms in town. He's just not sure that law is where he's actually meant to be. Temptation to overhaul everything he knows walks into his conference room one day, and her name is Nora. Falling for her may be the final push he needs to leave the law behind and chase his own dreams. He can tell she's hiding something big, however, and she won't let him get close enough to help her.
Maxwell's steadfast presence gives Nora comfort she didn't know she was seeking and isn't sure she deserves. Nora is everything Maxwell didn't know he was looking for. They're a perfect match – but can he stand by her when her past is exposed?

Lily is a Colorado native enjoying the fantastic climate of Southern California with her family and cranky cat after surviving more than a decade in hot, humid places where hurricanes get their own season and Winter is a myth.
The written word is her favorite thing - reading or writing, she doesn’t discriminate. Left to her own devices she can read about a book a day; that HEA is a powerful drug!
As an only child she grew up inventing elaborate stories for her dolls to act out. She started word processing on a computer around age 10 and never looked back. After suffering the heartbreak of catastrophic drive failure a regrettable number of times, she has finally learned to back things up appropriately and often.
Follow her antics on social media! (If she disappears for a bit around late August, don’t worry, that’s just her wanderlust kicking in. She’ll be back soon.)
Okay, every time I read Lily Alexander, I am blown away by her writing style and the detail she puts into each of her characters.
I l.o.v.e.d. Nora and Maxwell. They are the perfect sweet pair and they absolutely deserved to find their happily ever after. This book will deliver that but I won't give more details. I can tell you that there were times I was on the edge of my seat, times I was laughing, times my heart was breaking... I felt everything with this book including love for dogs (and I'm a cat person).
Lily Alexander has delivered another knockout standalone romance. I cannot wait for the last book in the series!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
This book was even better than the first! I fell in love with Nora quickly, and loved how fiercely protective Max was of her! Also, love love love her sister! Can't wait for more from Lily Alexander!
Better than the first! Nora is america's sweetheart, but she has a past (like everyone!) The ways Maxwell goes above and beyond for her just make my heart flutter. He is so protective and it's so heartwarming! I loved Nora's sister Phae too, and her roommates. I want their story soon!!
Maxwell and Nora are great together but Nora has secrets and in Hollywood secrets usually mean, blackmail, jealousy, drama, scandal, with Maxwell being an entertainment lawyer and Nora being America's sweetheart things are bound to get ugly and Nora's conniving ex boyfriend will see to that

I am not sure that I even know where to begin writing a review for this because it is truly an awesome experience.
I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing. The author had a tremendous ability in telling the story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

Nora Chase is a good girl who has a past that Hollywood is keeping under wrap. Michael is an entertainment lawyer who will do anything to protect her. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is undeniable from the start. The storyline has a bit of drama, suspense and twists and turns. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

I really love these Hollywood based stories so much, and Lily Alexander definitely did it brilliantly in my opinion. Nora is America's sweetheart but she has a past that they're keeping under lock & key making her sacrifice to stay on the small screen something to behold. Entertainment attorney Maxwell comes into her life unexpectedly, but it was the best thing to happen to both of them. However, there's still Nora's past which is being kept under wraps, but you already know that secrets don't make friends but they do allow for f-bomb dropping when they come out, which is what happens here. Obviously since it's Hollywood, not only are there secrets, but intense drama that comes along with the plotting, backstabbing, & betrayal which kept me on the edge of my seat calling names of the colorful metaphor variety. On the flip side, there's Maxwell's dog who tried to steal the show, and gave me breaks from the intensity to laugh hard. In Image Protector, I didn't have any issues with our hero, as he was just drool worthy so will he & Nora get a chance at a new future together?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is Maxwell and Nora’s story. Nora is the sweetheart of the silver screen while Maxwell is an entertainments lawyer, and these two meets when their best friends get married. These two are so sweet and perfect together, but when Nora’s past comes back to haunt them will this be the end of them? This is a beautifully written story which is realistic and I love this author’s in-depth plots and characters, which lead to an addictive page turner with drama, suspense, emotions, and humour, which all lead to a steamy and all-consuming read. I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend for all.
Like all well written Hollywood romances, this book has hot sexy famous stars, back stabbing, conniving and criminal exes, suspense and then a bonus Rufus, Maxwell’s adorable dog. Maxwell and Nora meets when their best friends get married to each other, both characters are well developed and you fall in love with them a little more each chapter. The interactions between the characters have a lot of emotions and feelings making it very realistic. This is a new author for me and I plan on reading the first book about Devon and Stephanie (the best friends) while waiting for Nora’s sisters book to come out.

This Hollywood romance is very sweet. I loved that it was a redemption kind of story in terms of the image Nora built around herself, it's also a journey of self-discovery and has a HEA that I loved.

"I like it." She smiled. "I like you, Maxwell. More than I should. It scares me."
That playful, sinfully handsome grin grew beatific.
"I like you too, Elle. More than I probably should, but I'm not scared at all. I don't think you should be either, because I'm of the mind that if it feels right, it probably is. What are you scared of?"
Nora's gut began to shift uncomfortably.
"My life is complicated." It sounded lame even as she said it.
"So is mine. We'll figure it out."
He watched her closely for a moment, his gaze so intense she could feel it in her spine. Her thoughts could not provide a single, reasonable argument to put forth. Not one. And she had a feeling that even if they had, the lawyer in him would find a very logical response.
Finally, she nodded. "Okay."
He raised an eyebrow. "Okay? That's it? No more debate or resistance?"
"No. You're trained to out-argue me any day of the week. So, okay. Let’s like each other."
Maxwell chuckled.
"Music to my ears, Gorgeous, and you're right, though I imagine that at some point down the line I'll have to concede an argument or two. We'll cross that bridge when we get there."
