Sebastian Crow is the proud owner of The River lounge strip club, where they bring a whole new level to stripping. He's the man that your parents warned you about, the one they said to never let in your heart, let alone your bed.

Cousin to the well known Raven brothers.

He's every woman's heartthrob, this hunk is determined to make his strip club number one - loving nothing more than the sight of woman dancing on those poles. This badass, sexy player will rock every woman's world, banging them any place their hearts desire and pulling them over the edge.

Cheryl Adams is a new stripper at The River lounge, having been homeless for the last two years she'll do anything to survive, including allowing old hags drool over her half naked body all night. She isn't afraid to break boundaries and live on the wild side.

But what happens when these two people, living two different lives cross paths? What happens when the player tries to save the reckless and the reckless breaks the players game?

Quick Summary
Cheryl has been living on the streets for two years, barely scraping by and just surviving when she meets Sebastian Crow. He’s the owner of the strip club she’s been living behind and lives up to his reputation when he has to be guilt tripped into taking her in after finding her shivering in the rain.

But his façade of carefree playboy is something she quickly sees through because like him, Cheryl’s also learned to keep people at a distance to protect herself.

This story is gritty and has flawed and realistic characters. There’s action, suspense and a slow burn romance that will tempt you to stay just a little bit longer :)

🖤 ~ My Thoughts ~ 🖤
Sebastian was a hard nut to crack. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like him, my first impression of him wasn’t what I normally get when I first meet the hero. Did I wish he’d been more sympathetic with Cheryl when he first meets her? Yes. His thought process was logical but too blunt, especially when this all goes down right in front of Cheryl.

But things aren’t as black and white as Sebastian projects and spending platonic time with a girl, with Cheryl, changes him. That was probably the best part of this story. Seeing him and Cheryl settle into domestic bliss without even realizing it and with zero smexy times! Lmao :)

My favorite character was definitely Cheryl. She was a total bad ass and even though she had to go through a lot of crappy things in life, like her parents disowning her, her abusive cheater of an ex-husband and living in the streets, she never really allowed herself to give up. Even when she thought she’d hit rock bottom, she still fought for another day.

Definitely recommend for fans of biker romances (although it loosely has biker action), gritty action and drama. This had a pretty angsty plot twist I did not see coming that spiked my heart rate for a minute. Not spoiling it but the author definitely threw a curve ball!

Heat Level: 3/5 – Descriptive, with multiple scenes.

Possible Triggers: H has some interaction with OW after meeting h. No sex but there is kissing and bjs. The MCs aren't in a relationship when this happens but they both had started to develope feelings for each other. Also it was very early in their friends/roommates relationship.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In 'Raging Storm' we meet Sebastian Crow, one of the cousins of the Raven boys. He seems to be heartless, liberated and wild. Sebastian can get any woman he wants. When he meets Cheryl Adams, things seem to be different.

I often read erotic novels and always look for elements that are unique to the story or author. Although I found it was a good story I missed a unique element that made this story different from others I have read. It was cliché and sometimes too predictable. However, the author has lots of talent and potential to create unique stories.
Her writing style is easy and flows well. Her way of telling the story is very pleasant and I adored the way she played around with words. Her writing style is simple, but filled with a certain emotion. I believed what McKenzie Stark was writing. The way she tells a story, makes it all realistic and fun to read. She was able to touch me emotionally and convince me that Sebastian wasn't a jerk.
Because that's what she tries to do: portray Sebastian as a jerk. The first encounter with a character is based on the prejudices of other characters. From the moment McKenzie Stark starts to tell the story, you get to see who the characters really are. What they feel, think and do is not the same as the prejudices. I love the way she portrays characters. They feel like real people. They have a background story, a purpose in life and remain realistic during the whole plot.
The setting and atmosphere of the story were well worked out. There were dark moments, but also very light places/settings that brought out the romance and tensions between the characters.
The environment also intensified the emotions of the story.

It is a good story and the author certainly has talent. Only it was a little too predictable for me, and there were too many clichés in it.

This is the first book I've read by this Author and I have to say I was completely thrilled with what I found. Sebastian and Cheryl will have your emotions all over the place and just when you think you have found solid ground something hits you again. Their story is one of heartbreak, angst, surprise and fast, fast love. Such an enjoyable book.

This is a well written book with strong , well developed characters with a slow burning romance and a realistic story line. The author brings Cheryl and Sebastian together when he finds her living outside behind his strip club. Their story is filled with drama, suspense, action and romance , is brought to life with vividly painted scenes , moves quickly and smoothly and is an enjoyable read.

Sebastian Crow...I wanted to dislike him and believe me he teetered that thin line but I saw what he was hiding and when he saw a hurt woman, Cheryl outside his club, his mask slipped.

Cheryl deserves her share. She's been hurt and discarded and is now homeless...until she gets found outside the club.

Getting to see Sebastian get comfortable with himself and seeing the sweet side of the woman who shares his space, you can see the puddle from the ice around his heart melt.

Until threats come knocking and you see why you can't mess with a player without getting played. Lot's of action and thrills mesh well with the romance and Sebastian maturing from self-centered, egotistical player to a man you would be proud of and Cheryl finding out not every man wants to hurt her. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Excitingly New Tale!
“Raging Storm” is a gritty motorcycle club romance that is creatively crafted with dark emotional moments, action, humor, danger, drama, and excitement. McKenzie Start takes you on a journey with Cheryl from the loss of her humanity through homelessness to accept that her life has value. The masterfully developed characters are intriguing and insightful. The main characters Cheryl and Sebastian are strong-willed, honorable and funny, they make you a believer in love. This short intense tale is well worth your TBR list.

Sebastian Crow doesn't do relationships, but that doesn't mean he doesn't cherish women. When a homeless woman outside his club is found, all he can do is try to help. Cheryl has been betrayed by everyone and doesn't trust easily. Can they overcome the obstacles? Find a way to open their hearts and maybe reach for more? Some danger and some hot sexy times.

I had read and enjoyed a couple of McKenzie's previous books so when I saw this I could not wait to give it a read and it did not disappoint. Sebastian owns a strip club and he is struggling to stay afloat, When I first started this book I was not over keen on him but then when he finds Cheryl sleeping behind his club and decides to help her you start to see the real man underneath. This was a really good book.

Cheryl got a really crappy deal from her cheating ex-husband, and she's been homeless for a couple of years. Sebastian finds her in the alleyway as he's leaving his club one night, and brings her to his apartment. Not for sex. Not for a relationship. To give her a chance to get back on her feet. Neither of them figured on falling in love. Love their slow burn. Really slow. It took forever for them to get there. The book has a good bit of drama and action, mostly relating to the rival MC - this is where we find out just how strong Cheryl really is. Sebastian is hard, making it tough to like him, until he takes Cheryl home with him. I have not read all of the related books, just a couple, but I really enjoyed this story.

There is just a whole lot wrong with this book that didn't add up. Cheryl is living on the streets behind a strip club after losing her boyfriend, job and home. One night someone leaving the club sexually assaults her. Why would you continue to sleep there? Sebastian sees her and takes her home with him. Again, after already assaulted by someone from there, why would you go home with another perfect stranger? She has been on the streets for two years eating from dumpsters. But after some food and a shower, her hair is perfect, her body tempts everyone and she doesn't have any health issues. I wanted to like the book, but I needed some realism.

The calm eye in a Raging Storm

Raging Storm is the fifth book in The Raven Boys series by McKenzie Stark. As this was the first book I have read by this author I was not sure what to expect but the book description piqued my interest so I decide to give it a try. What I found was a well written book with interesting and strong characters. This is a slower burning romance which has drama, action, suspense and of course some nice sizzling chemistry. But there is an issue with some of the details and things that I had to suspend all disbelief in. So for me in the end this was a story that I am down the middle with. But I will read this author again.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

A gripping book five in The Raven Boys series and it will take you on an emotional roller coaster. It is drama-packed, funny, wonderfully written, steamy, and interesting. Likeable but broken characters you will root for; the chemistry between them is off the charts. There are twists and turns, ups and downs, and more; it will pull you in from the first page and is guaranteed to leave you wanting more. Definitely recommended!
