First published in 1990, Hand-Manipulated Stitches for Machine Knitters remains one of the top selling books for machine knitters. With good reason! Generically written for owners of all brands and gauges of machine, the first chapters deal with the basics of machine knitting and offer a clear understanding of exactly how machines operate and form stitches. The following chapters are devoted to Twisted Stitches, Wrapped and Woven Stitches, Lifted Stitches, Rehing Stitches, Transferred Stitches and Cables. Withs 250 pages, fully illustrated with black and white photographs and stitch charts, this is a book you will return to over and over.
I don't own this book but I do own the accompanying video, which is excellent. I contrast the professionally- done video with some I see on YouTube and there is no comparison, the production values for Susan's video are far superior. This book is used as a reference on TKGA Master Knitter Certification, so I am not alone in thinking it excellent. If someone has a copy of this book they can access easily, I would really appreciate a photo of page 64. The TKGA instructions I need for level 2 of the program refer to page 64, but my video refers to page 62-63 and I need to compare.
