A book club choice I didn't think I'd like, but LOVED it. It really hits home with today's dilemma faced by older people - especially in city environments. I empathized with the characters, and agree with their philosophy totally. Where's my handgun and white athletic sock?

I enjoyed the original premise of the old ladies taking care of business but it was a forced plot and became a sounding board for the author's rant. Therefore, 2 stars only.

In the beginning, premise seems a bit preposterous, but there is food for thought here.

Funny, a little too dragged out though. Interesting theme that people in prison have all the things that senior citizens would like. Warm place to sleep, food, dental and health care. All provided.

I'm not big on fiction but found this story to be an interesting twist that I don't believe women of this age and type could do even if they wanted to. Still I enjoyed the book.
