Textbook of Endocrine Physiology

Rate this book
Written primarily for medical and dental students, this text has a clear focus on the major functions of hormones, a solid grounding in biochemistry and molecular biology, and ample clinical correlations. With contributors from several disciplines, it provides authoritative treatment of each
facet of endocrine physiology. Since the authors are from a single institution and have all participated in the course from which the text was developed, it has a unity that is rare in multicontributor volumes. Clearly written, generously illustrated, well balanced and up-to-date, this is an ideal
text for students of the health professions.

Comprehensive despite the shorter length. Super informative and interesting, it can truly spark an interest in endocrinology. Some sections are denser than others, but the basics are always laid out at the beginning of chapters.

Informative but very dry and effortful to read. Each paragraph is packed with so much info that you need to know - you have to be absolutely focused and alert at all moments while reading. Probably good if you're REALLY into endocrinology.
