It's a gimmicky book, but who doesn't want to look at pictures through a stereoscope? There are some fantastic, close-up, high-detail bug photos to view in all of their 3-D wonder.
I didn't read every page, but those I did read taught me some interesting things. For example, flies can transmit over 70 diseases to humans, and there are so few male stick insects and male leaf insects that the eggs often hatch even without fertilization (life finds a way!).
Nature is endlessly fascinating.
