Overall the best book so far in this series. I didn't give it a 5⭐ rating because of some inconsistencies: 1) in book 2 Mags had a knee replacement but in this book it was foot surgery, 2) while cleaning outs Grams place its mentioned more than once that CJ never knew her grandfather but later she thinks of saying thinking to herself that it was something her grandfather used to say, & 3) also perhaps the biggest one was when her uncle marked the coordinates she memorized them but then later when taking notes couldn't remember them but then when taken she remembered them again because it would advance the plot I guess. But overall I really did enjoy this book & it reminded me of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.
This is the third book in the series. CJ's dog has a habit of finding things that lead to a mystery and murder and it happened again. I love the characters in this series and the more I read the more I learn about them. I liked this story even more than the last one. I would love to see the series on tv. there is so much humour in the story even in times of extreme danger. Onto book 4 in the series.
Awesome. Humour, a good plot (even though it was obvious who the culprit was) and characters that get better with age. Great dialogue. A day out on the river shouldn't end with Caper bringing her a present. Nothing sparkly or shiny just a plain human finger. Now the hunt is on to find who killed the man. A man who seems to have come into existence just a few years ago. Add in a criminal ring, threats, attempted arson, a field of honey grown drugs, a bomb and someone shooting at Eric. Can she survive some very determined attempts to kill her?
This cute little dog is great at getting all her favorite people knee deep in mysterious things going down in this tiny house town. Lots of action and as the plot thickens and the danger increases, CJ comes to realize just what is really important to her. This author uses great word pictures throughout the story, it is so easy to get those in one of her adventures! Thanks for a wonderful read!
I loved this fast pace cozy filled plenty of suspense, twists and turns. The storyline and characters were very interesting. This book is recommended for those who love cozy mysteries.
