Bear Attack

Rate this book
Betty drove her car into the garage, opened the car door, got out and started walking toward the house. Suddenly she heard a roar and she was knocked face down onto the ground. The bear started ripping at her scalp, she thought he is going to rip my head off. Then he was ripping the flesh down her back and hips into shreds. "Oh, God, I am going to die." As quickly as the attack had started, it was over. The bear raised up and ran off into the woods. Marie, her mother had witnessed the ordeal from her window, and all she could do was scream. She called the 911 to hurry that her daughter had been attacked by a black bear. She ran over to where had been, she saw the blood trail, somehow Betty had dragged herself into her house. When the EMT's arrived, Marie told them where she was. They entered the kitchen----all they say was a pool of blood and ribbons of flesh, hanging on by a thread. Is she alive, one of them whispered? They gently turned her over, look her face has not been touched, it was only bruised and swollen. They had called the emergency department at St. Mary's Hospital. When they arrived at the hospital, the staff wasn't expecting what they saw, they had never seen such wounds. Would she live through the night? Would Dr. Sommers, Rink and the Waltmen Team be able to save her, bring her back to her children? Would she ever look normal again? Soon, Jerry, her husband, their children and Betty's mother arrived at the hospital. Jerry thought to himself, "Why is she alive, how could she be?" Sargent Rodrigues and his men were searching the area of the attack for any signs of bears. There weren't any, the neighbors had not seen any in over a year. "Sargent, look at this." "What do you have?" "A curved piece of steel with blood on it." "I don't think bears have steel claws." What could this mean, is it an important clue.
