Basic Primer for the IBM PC

Rate this book
One of the easiest computer languages to learn and use, BASIC is by far the most popular language for microcomputers. It's also the only language that comes built into the IBM PC. If you're going to use your PC or XT for more than simply running "canned" application programs - if you want to be an active participant in microcomputing and not just a passive user - then you'll want to learn BASIC.

So now BASIC is a thing of the past.. programs that took many hours to create and debug back then become cheap "apps" on iphones. Yet this book is one of the classsics of computing, and as such I think its an important record of what early computing was like.
