First for the positives of this cookbook, Chapter One is packed with basic information about the importance of breakfast and what it should include. The photos that are included make the dishes look very appealing. The recipes are organized by type of food (eg. Granola/Oats/Grains, Eggs, Muffins/Breads/Bars). The recipe instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Now for the drawbacks, I would say that for our household, very few of these recipes would be considered easy for a busy morning. Most would be for the weekends, even with some of the prep done the night before. While the recipes may be healthy for the average person, it would have been helpful for diabetes friendly and heart healthy recipes to have been labeled as such. In my opinion such recipes do not seem plentiful in this cookbook.

I am grateful to Rockridge Press for giving me the opportunity to read and review this cookbook. I was under no obligation to write a positive review and received no monetary compensation.

The Healthy Breakfast Cookbook by Shayna Telesmanic.
With the New Year I wanted to try to find some health recipes. This book caught my eye because breakfast can sometimes be hard to eat healthy especially for long periods of time without getting board. This had a lot to choice from for sure.
There were smoothies, smoothie bowls Recipes. There is a recipe for homemade yogurt along with some additional fruits and other things to enhance it. There is a Chi Seed Pudding recipe. In addition to homemade granola, overnight oats. Different egg recipes, some being Eggs in a Basket, Easy Egg Muffins. There is a Sweet Potato Hash recipe. This book covers some muffin, pancakes, scones... about anything you can think of. It gives you the healthy twist.
Enjoyed this book and the recipes.

This book caught my eye because I love breakfast foods and will eat them anytime of day! The book is divided up by type of food such as smoothies, grains, eggs and waffles. Recipes include more common fare like Cinnamon Waffles and Breakfast Enchiladas but also Caprese Sandwiches and Zucchini and Sausage casserole. There are recipes for a dry pancake mix and Grainless Granola. The author also includes cooking shortcuts and make ahead tips.

I made the Sweet Potato Hash and we enjoyed it. However I had to double the amount of vegetables to fit the number of eggs. Another drawback is the amount of time needed to make many of these recipes. I hope to try the Beefed- Up Shashuka next. Thank you to Rockridge Press and Callisto Publisher Club for my gifted copy.

First let me say that I received this book free from the publisher with the understanding that I would give an unbiased review. This cookbook has some amazing recipes that allow for you to make quick, healthy, delicious breakfasts for you to get you out the door on time. I really enjoy the recipes and have adapted a few that have allowed for me to eat breakfast before work when normally I skipped breakfast due to lack of time. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a variety of healthy recipes that will get you out the door quick.
