His collections of poetry include All Just (Carcanet, 2012), Outwith (Bookthug 2012), Through (Carcanet, 2016), and Walk Song (Equipage, 2018). His essays and poems have been widely published in magazines, journals and newspapers and his recent writings on the politics of human movement have appeared in From the European South, Los Angeles Review of Books, Paideuma, and the Times Literary Supplement.
David Herd is Professor of Modern Literature at the School of English and is a co-organiser of the project Refugee Tales, raising awareness of indefinite immigration detention."
David Herd is a poet, critic, and teacher. He is Professor of Modern Literature at the University of Kent, has worked with Kent Refugee Help since 2009, and is a coordinator of Refugee Tales.
