I have been very impressed by the Great Courses DVD sets I've checked out from the library. This one on quantum mechanics is excellent. Carlson really does a great job of explaining many aspects of quantum mechanics and how it works on the atomic level. I never opened the course book, honestly, because I watched all the DVDs and the explanations were very clear.
