This collection copyright 1986 is typical of the poetry written during the 70’s and 80’s—which is not a bad thing; poetry then was accessible and had a rather distinctive format that lends itself to a focus on the reader and a tightness of diction that is sadly lacking in much current poetry. Phil Dacey who died in 2017 will certainly be missed.
