Witch Smitten is book three in the Witches of Night Meadow series by V. Vaughn.
Kay is a fabulous baker. She’s been crushing on Tucker Eagan since her early years. He’s finally come home and Kay believes he’s her forever. Damon is back home and he’s known Kay since childhood. One chastises kiss as teens had him believing she’s his forever. What does destiny have in-store?
We get a little more backstory in this novel which gives use insight into the characters’s. The romance is sweet, tame and we see that trust and loyalty are pivotal in any relationship. Theirs also a little drama when another suitor comes calling for Kay.
Witch Smitten is a sweet romance and a nice read for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Loved it. All the sassy Knight witches. Couldn't ask for a snarky, funny, and romantic book. Characters are well written and no going huh. Each back story is clearly written so there's no confusion or checking on previous pages. My favorites parts are the bickering and snarky replies. I laughed cried and at some point got angry at a couple characters. Kay Knight just can't wait to sink her nails into the man she wants. Tucker a police officer. But blind love isn't all that's it's cracked up to be. Will the spell she casted all those years ago work? Or is there someone out there more suited to her? Damon is back after a long rift between the families. And hope's he can patch things up between them. Then he sees Kay again all those years from summer camp. He can't get her out of his mind. Can he really win her over?
This is a terrific, entertaining story that I couldn't put down. I didn't know to expect with this book and found myself reading the whole thing in one sitting. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and their wit and snappy dialogue. A great story to get lost in for a little while.
Kay has been waiting a long time for her man while he went off to college and came back home and became a celebrity. She decided that she was not going to wait on him any longer and decided to date someone else Tucker the town deputy but she didn't realize that he was scared of ghosts and she had to rid the home of one and he accompanied her as required by law. When the ghost Celia decided to have some fun with Tucker he couldn't take it and ran away. Kay didn't give up she ask him out because Damon encouraged her to go after what she wanted. Damon had already decided it was time to put the old feud to rest because he wanted Kay and she had to claim him and he was going to make sure that she did. He wanted her to help him and just had to get her to agree with his methods. Her enemy from childhood has come to town and Kay knows that she is up to something. But Damon gives her the benefit of the doubt. This is their adventure. I was given a copy as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
Night Meadow Island This all started 18 years ago when the oldest sister wanted to do a a love spell to get the boy she loved to asked her to marry him when they grow up. She pulled the her twin sisters and baby sister in the hot attic. Kay one of the twins wasn't really sure this was the right thing to do and she didn't want her sisters to tease her so she said the man she wanted would be a famous wizard in a purple lined cape but who she really wanted was Tucker. The girls completely the spell.
Now. The knight witches are all grown up and that little spell they cast has been coming true for her sisters. Kay had wanted Tucker but while he had moved back to town nothing had really happen. Yet. Then there was this guy named Damon her family knew his family and his knew her they went to summer came together. Now he was an on line wizard who seemed full of him self and overly confident. He was overly sure he could get Kay and pull her into his online videos . Now who is going to win or should I say who should win? Lots of action, drama, mystery, twists and turns. I loved the characters even if one took awhile to grow on me lol. Don't miss this one its amazing. Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it.
This was a fun read! Love the witch storyline and the characters are entertaining. Kay is a witch and so are her sisters. When they were younger, they did a love spell of sorts. Kay had a crush on Tucker, but also asked for a wizard in a purple (if I remember right) lined cape. Well, years later, Tucker is back in town working as a cop, so Kay sets up a haunting (she can talk to ghosts) to woo him. Damon is a male witch, who likes the limelight from his magic show online; he wants to bring his show in a different direction and wants Kay to join him. He wants Kay for a lot more than just his show though; he’s been crushing on her for a long time, but there’s bad blood between their families. Kay isn’t sure what to make of Damon, but there’s definitely some chemistry there. It’s great how much Damon cares for Kay. Loved all the magical elements; cool stuff! The romance is sweet and heartfelt, and all the characters likable. Looking forward to reading more from V. Vaughn!
Book three in the series Witches of Night Meadow concentrates of the third of the four sisters. Kay, who is Corinne's twin, is trying to get police officer Tucker Eagan to ask her out and has arranged for a couple of hauntings by local ghosts to help her out. But unbeknownst to Kay a figure from the past, and another witchy Maine family, is about to enter the picture. It turns out that he has had a crush on Kay since they were both at a summer camp when they were 14/15 and knows that she is destined to be his wife. but first hee has to persuade her not only to stop thinking about Officer Tucker Egean but to seriously consider him and return his feelings. An interesting romance and different to the two preceding books in the series. A great lighthearted read for the evening which was extremely enjoyable.
Another good one! I am already reaching for the next one. I am short of time right now. I will say Kay has a little of a problem to sort out with the tangles she has with her thoughts & her feelings going in different directions to start with. Then other people decide to "change" her decisions for her. Her life is the most interesting news right now. The gal who owns the hardware store is the island's grapevine. If there is something going on she knows it. She knows it & passes it along to others. It can only have happened half an hour & the whole island will know. Kay's family finds out she had a problem before she got home. The woman can spread news that fast. Kay & Damon get their things together. It's a good story.
A sweet read that I didn't really know what to expect from it. I say that because there are two men. Both that Kay has had a crush on. One from her childhood that she was thinking of when a spell was cast. The other, just a description that came to her when the same spell was cast. Years later how will this turn out. She wants Tucker, but at one time wanted Damon whose father does not like the Knight family. Hmmmmm will we ever truly figure out the why? Ok, sorry got side tracked there. This series just keeps pulling you in wanting more and it is not an overly sexy series. But it does have the romantic elements that make you go...ohhhhhh sweet!
With two of her sisters having found their true loves, it’s now Kay’s turn to find her mate. When quite a bit younger, she had wished for love with two different people. Now, they are both in her life.
I thought that the first, Tucker, was dismissed a bit quickly and early in the story. However, once the story with Damon got going, that became a minor nit.
The character development was well done. The roller coaster of finding trust and love felt quite plausible.
Adding the Brannigan family to the series provided an opportunity to expand the universe and explore the history of the Knight family.
"Witch Smitten" is a delightful read with fabulous engaging characters, humor, family love, jealousy, magic, sweet romance, and a happy forever.
Kay Knight, a feisty good witch, and fabulous baker has been crushing on Tucker Eagan since the early years of her life. He has come back to his hometown, and Kay believes he is her forever. Damon Hawke has also known Kay since childhood, and one summer camp awkward teen kiss has him believing Kay is his forever. Who has destiny chosen to win Kay's heart forever?
Fabulous fun, creative storyline. Backstories give the reader insight into the character's personas. The romance is convincing, and devotion shines in this read. The author shows that trust and loyalty are pivotal in relationships. Loving this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
The Knight witches use their magic for good and everyone on the small island knows them. While Kay is thinking of rekindling her childhood crush when she runs into a rival witch family son. Damon was determined to overcome the incident that made his family move away and do some rekindling of his own.
It's a fun story with family unity and pranks. There are witty fun and sisterly love and support. Throw in some ghostly deeds to the mixture as well as some romance and it's a winner from page one to The End.
I have enjoyed the series. Kay has watched two of her sisters find love and now it is her turn to find happiness. It just might not be where she expects.
Her childhood crushes are back in her life after quite an absence. She thought one was the right one for her but maybe she was wrong.
I really liked Damon from the start. He might appear to be too selfish and desiring fame but there is more to him. I loved how he tried to help his sister out. He showed his caring side. I knew she wouldn't be able to resist him for long.
Highly entertaining, this storyline moves along really well. Love the concept of witches setting a spell that calls out to their mate. This author manages to make each situation all its own. Easy to read, this makes a wonderful curl up read during gloomy weather to make the time pass dreamily. Old grudges truly illustrates issues that plague many real life relationships. All my reviews are always voluntarily written
I like everything about this series. The Knight witches are a close knit loving family that use their abilities for good. A love spell cast long ago between Kay and her sisters was meant to find their true loves. Kay has harboured the belief that her crush Tucker was her destined love. What happens when what you believed is challenged by the possibility of what could be? I enjoyed reading this story which was sweet, humorous, and steamy.
This was such a cute book. The Knight witches are some really cool women. This is the third book and is just as sweet as the others. It is filled with magic and romance. Kay is the next to have her wish come true. Damon is also a witch and has plans on showing Kay how he feels. A completely lean story that will leave you with a lite heart and a smile on your face.
Sometimes what you think you want isn't what you expected it to be. Kay thinks that now that Tucker is back on the island he will finally see the light. Then they work together removing a ghost only for her to find he really doesn't understand her work. Damon has waited years for a chance to be around Kay. He knows she's his one but, will she ever see it too?
This third book in series, is entertaining, action packed and thoroughly enjoyable. The chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
This is the third book in this series and with each book it seems to be getting better. The plot is fast full of action romance and the chemistry between the characters is believable. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Fun and engaging! A budding romance and more witches add to this enchanting series. Kay's story begins with a romantic interest in Tucker, a cop. Is he her true Knight? This enjoyable read will reveal all! Voluntarily read ARC for honest review.
This author always amazes me at how quickly she pulls me into her worlds. I enjoy the Knight witches as they are all snarky, magical and always have a fun spin on things. This book has plenty of magically action to keep you on your toes. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book
FANTASTIC! Awesome series really everyone wants to be in love and find their true live. This story has hauntings drama because the Knights are very dramatic.
