Help! 100 Songwriting, Recording and Career Tips Used by The Beatles

Rate this book
'Help! 100 songwriting, recording and career tips as used by the Beatles' is a self-help book for just about anyone writing a song. The book's largest section is devoted to tips for singers and musicians on how to structure a song with tips on intros, verses, choruses, middle-eights and endings all using lessons from the Beatles' songs. There are other sections on how to create melodies, getting the lyrics right, the importance of getting the most from your vocals and in creating vocal arrangements, plus how to approach the recording studio. For those thinking further ahead there are also smaller sections on basic band management tips followed by the Beatles and tips on how to project your public image. A secondary aim of the book is to help reverse the decline of rock music in the pop music charts. The reduction of the opportunity for rock bands to play live since the hey-day of the 1960s and 1970s has meant less time to learn. This book aims to provide some of the lessons that can be learnt from the long hours the Beatles spent as a club band pre-fame. This is the third book the author David Rowley has written on the Beatles.
