I haven't actually made anything from this yet, but reading through it I learned a lot about how to make curtains better at blocking light, noise, and heat transfer. And the instructions seem very clear.

I also liked that although she talks about some very expensive fabrics, she also suggests, for example, that you can use an old thin blanket or a thick sheet for an interlining, if money is tight.

The one complaint I have is that I think the book could have been better organized - some parts were separated that felt like they should follow one another.
