We should all be so lucky to live inside Elizabeth Neal's head. There is so much going on in there, and lucky for us, she has the writing chops to lay a beautiful, bizarre sliver of it out in this tiny chapbook. With a wry, acerbic voice, a passion for satire, and the oddest of storylines, these short stories will dazzle you with their dark depths ingeniously cloaked in sparkles. More please, Miss Neal.

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a heartbreakingly beautiful story that stays with you long after the final page. When Mateo and Rufus find out they’re going to die within 24 hours, they meet through an app and decide to spend their last day together. What follows is a raw, emotional journey filled with laughter, fear, vulnerability, and unexpected love. Silvera captures the ache of knowing time is running out, but also the joy of truly living, even if just for a moment. This book makes you cry, think, and appreciate every second you have.

Honestly, this started pretty slow. If you are into books that explain everything you will be itching to understand some things. But overall, the focus is from 2 boys point of view and with the knowledge that they will die that die but don't know how or when. They find each other and go through the day much like many of us would. Try everything you can while you're still here. But the real Rollercoaster is the emotional trips you take through all this. I wasn't too impressed during the story but it tripped a chord at least. Then the end when you knew it all along happens and it gets you.

Literary horror meets bawdy lore in this marvelously twisted collection. Neal’s language rings with wit and musicality...and begs to be read aloud, preferably beside a fire with a hearty beverage. A darkly funny delight!

Wow.... I was not prepared to be so thoroughly engrossed as I was reading this small book. Elizabeth Neal shows mastery over so many genres of storytelling that it was surprising to find out this was her first published book. I picked it up at her home town bookstore, Powell’s, not knowing anything about her, when the cashier notified me that this book was written by her friend. Well, damn, your friend is very good at it.
