The best-selling superharem phenomenon is back for a brand new adventure! A shaman’s prophesy, saving the emperor of Japan, fighting a terrifying robot the size of a three-story building, and an epic adventure through southeast Asia fighting supervillains?
This is the stuff of fiction, not real life.
And while I’d love to say I made all this nonsense up, that my life truly is creative nonfiction gamer scifi, it’s merely the tip of the iceberg of the things I have on my plate at the moment. More enemies, more life-altering decisions, more media madness, and more brushes with death.
And that’s before waking up in China and receiving a message that sends the CBGs teleporting across the world to make a deadline. And I mean ‘deadline’ in every sense of the word.
It truly is a life or death situation.
Obligatory: Cherry Blossom Girls 8 contains a harem; LitRPG humor/stats; superpowers used in ways they weren't designed to be used; metafiction. This series was inspired by The Tick, Stranger Things, Deadpool, Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions, and the anime Elfen Lied.

Number eight in Cooper's adventures of his superpowered harem of Cherry Blossom Girls. Not forgetting who, I'm sure the readers would agree, is probably the luckiest man in the world, our Cherry Blossom Boy, Gideon.
This, I feel, is the closest thing to some of the author's travels in 'real life' that we have read, which I find really interesting. I could be wrong here, but I'm sure I felt some very strong vibes. *plays The Twilight Zone music* Makes me want to see the Buddhist temples for myself. Our gang really do save the emperor of Japan, and the HUGE robot is quite, quite, wunderbar!
There's always a load of laughs and banter in a Cooper work, and this one is no different. I love the battles, the bigger and gorier the better for me. It's such a smooth running story (as all the books are), and you'll zoom through the pages at breakneck vigour. I do really enjoy this series, and know the characters intimately. (Some more than others.) It's an emotional tale, well, it was for me, anyway. Don't miss this.
But that ending... my god, that ending. I need the next book asap, please.
I chose this book from a larger selection, then voluntarily read and honestly reviewed it. All opinions are my own.
This book carried on with what made all the rest a great read, filled with feeling and fun, and while its a bit of the same as before, it's still hard to put down, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all is buttoned up in book 9.
I began this book at the end of last year. I'm just now finishing it. While I enjoy the plotline, the implementation tends to drag the flow down. I would have enjoyed it more if it moved a touch faster
The last few chapters had the song "I Need a Hero" playing on a loop in my head while I read them! What a twist! Please don't leave us hanging too long!
There is something about this series that is just plain old wrong. From ridiculously deviant sexual acts to extreme violence and lots of potty talk, there is plenty to make the reader cringe- and laugh. Let’s face it, these books are also really fun to read. So if you can get past the crudity, you’re in for a wild ride. But this is book eight, so why don’t you start with book 1. And if you’ve already read the other books, you already know you’ll get a kick out of this one, so enjoy.
So adults only on these books.
And yeah, I read a complimentary advance copy, and this review is honest and voluntary, in case anyone wants the disclaimer.
Overall I enjoyed this book A lot I thought it was the best in the series so far. The fight scenes are well written and fun to read. The pacing was breakneck that sucks you into the story. The twist at the end left me wanting more to see how it plays out.
This is a good book. You should read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. I enjoy the CBG”s abilities. I have only one frustration. Set in the future but all they have are flimsy phones. In particular the MC drops a phone and it shatters. Really ? We have phones today that survive a drop without a protective case.
This a great follow up as CBG goes international as Gideon increases his manliness and even more powers and incidents occur. On the road to peridition for the CBG a lot can go wrong and shows that there is a lot of live left in this to go yet.
I can't wait to read the next book. The last two were very interesting and entertaining. I like the new twists and hope the series continues through to it's finalality.
I had a good time with this one..All are fun, witty, sexy action reads, but this one has a shocker at the end (like a previous novel if you have been keeping up with the series) Give me more,COOPER!!
I’m loving the CBG’s adventures overseas. I’m ready for the next installment in this series and hoping they can finally do something about a certain annoying actress.
