Her tea room, An Afternoon to Remember, has won numerous awards including the 2006 Tea Experience Digest's Reader's Choice Award for "Best Small City Tea Room in the U.S." This cookbook features her delicious and easy to follow afternoon tea recipes for scones, tea sandwiches, desserts, salads and soups.

About the author

Amy Lawrence is an example for women who have had many successful careers in life including teacher, business owner and author. With a master’s degree in Special Education she taught for 11 years. In 2003 she decided to pursue her passion and opened her tea room, “An Afternoon to Remember.” Her tea room won many awards including Best Small Tea Room in the U.S. in 2006, KCRA’s A-List 2007, 2008 and 2009 and Sacramento Magazine’s Best Tea Room in 2008. In 2009 she closed her tea room in order to pursue her other companies full time-ATR Publishing and An Afternoon to Remember Fine Tea and Gifts (on-line company). At the present time, Amy has published 8 books and has sold over 12,000 of them. She is currently working on several new projects including resources for new tea room owners and is writing a book on afternoon tea entertaining.
