This is a Children's/Young Middle Grade Ghost story. I read this book to my twin boys, and they really enjoyed this book. My boys are almost 8 years old, but they both have special needs. We read a little bit of the book each night. I think this book would be good for 8 or 9 years old and up (It depends on the child). The book is easy to understand and follow. It is also easy to read. The ghost story would not scared a kid, or it did not scare my boys. I won a kindle edition of this book from a Goodreads Giveaway, but this review is my own opinion about the book.

This is a great mystery ghost train book. The pictures are real, which is terrific. The story is believable with plenty of ghost magic involved to make it wonderful.
The train started in Newark, New Jersey on October 1,1955. Bright Line Locomotive E6 Number 466 nicknamed Lundberg Engine. Hundreds of fans were waiting to ride including Tommy Tunes, his father and mother, Laura and Charles. This is a coal train Special Railway. In 1927 Michael Lundburg made the 1st non-stop flight from Newark to Paris. Reporters sent their messages by plane, rushed by railroad car to get to New York before competition. They got into a car and copied the footage ten tunes to make ten films. There were no tv's or any kind of fast way to get the news out except newsreels showed before films in movie theaters. Did they make it in time? The conductor finished his story. (To get all the details you get to read/listen to the whole story.).
Now comes the ghost train part. It has to do with a watch the train stoppage, and Walter the conductor. When the pocket watch stops.....Not going to tell you more. Nope, no more from me. So much fun to listen/read.
I won this book in a contest on the Goodreads website.

I received a kindle version of this children's book.Young Tommy gets to ride a train for the first time. It is an old train with a history. when the conductor loses an old stop watch. Tommy finds it. At first he wants to keep it but weird things start happening the train stops and won't move. Does it have anything to do with this old watch? What will happen next? A good story for children. I liked myself.

This book is a spooky story for young children between 3-8. It's sweet, and I doubt any child will get bad dreams. The most fascinating part of the book, however, and something adults can enjoy as much as the youngest children, are the old photographs and the history of the old train. If you have a young train aficionado, it may spark a taste for history as well.

An Interesting Children's Story

Climb aboard for the ride of your life. A child on an old train figures out the importance of a conductor to the train and the contractor's old watch. Too bad about the rest of the crew!

I received this as a goodreads giveaway. The writing is simple, good for children. The story is cute, but it seemed like you came in halfway through, or that something was skipped in the middle. It didn't connect well in my opinion, but a kid probably wouldn't think anything of it. I do think more pictures would have been good, but the ones that were included were fun historical pieces. I also think it doesn't translate well as a kindle book. Mine made it look funky. I think a picture book would look better. All in all, a cute creative kids story.
