Foundations of Microeconomics

Foundations of Microeconomics was developed on the premise that economics is a core competency for the responsible citizen and a foundation tool for every type of career. Overall the book is very informative and structured in a way to maintain interest by reducing reader fatigue. Definitely worth the read. My only criticism - hence the three star rating - is the lack of background information so commonly provided in elementary texts of most disciplines. Most intro classes I've attended are accompanied by texts containing historical roots and contending schools of thought. This textbook, however, presents the most prominent theory as if it's the only theory.

I love this book, completely understanding all of its contexts make you strong in foundation of microeconomics. before going to Pindyck or Varian I strongly recommend this book!
