I got this book out of the library because I am trying to understand why I have so few amphibians and reptiles in my garden, and to try to figure out what I am going to do about it.

The author is passionate about the subject.

It is interesting to note that others have caught mudpuppies on minnows through the ice, just as I have in Michigan.
