Each letter of the alphabet is represented in a fanciful trip in a little red airplane across a desert island, through a jungle, among the planets, and back home for bed.
A Long Trip to Z “An airplane takes off from a child’s book, passing an alphabet of sights on its adventurous journey before returning right at bedtime.” I rated this alphabet book with 4 stars. I chose this book because it goes through the alphabet which helps young readers learn it, but also in my opinion can make you sleepy and want to go to bed. So I think it’s a great bedtime story for kids that lets their mind and imagination wander. I think this would be good for ages 3-8.
A Long Trip to Z is a wonderful book that teaches the alphabet and words that go along with the alphabet. They explain how A is for airplane that takes you places and brings you back home again. Children would enjoy reading this book as they gain information about the alphabet. Thisd would be a great book for beginning readers.
At first Jennifer was not interested for the drawings and the cover are not very attractive. We were planning on reading it and later take it to school and donate it. After we read and she realized the airplane flies out of the book she said she did not want to give the book away. She liked it.
The airplane flies from page to page and progresses through the alphabet. It doesn't have much to do with the alphabet besides a word begins with a certain letter on each page. This could be used at the second grade reading level.
